Patches for windows 7 64. Installing a theme to suit your taste on Windows. Replacing system files

Not everyone has the means to buy a new one. operating system with all the necessary capabilities. For such purposes, Microsoft sells several types of Windows operating system. For example, Windows 7 comes in several versions, from basic to maximum.

They all vary in cost and functionality. Currently, Windows 8 has already been released, but many users did not like it, and they prefer to remain with the seventh version for now. The most accessible versions of Windows 7 are Starter and Home Basic.

However, those who already have the listed versions installed are faced with the lack of the Aero effect, which is necessary for the transparency of windows and for some other pleasant moments. Users with the maximum seven should not worry about this, since it is “all inclusive”. But what about those who have Windows 7 Home Basic?

What to do?

Fortunately, not everything is as bad as it might seem, since a solution already exists. All you need to do is download a special patch and run it as an administrator. After some time, the computer will reboot itself. And after that in context menu The “personalization” item will be added.

The program is small, but what opportunities open up after its use! Let's look at some.

Extensive Features

By applying the downloaded patch, you can get the following features:

  • automatic wallpaper change;
  • installing third-party themes;
  • improved Win+Tab combination.

You no longer need to manually change your desktop wallpaper; the operating system will do it itself at a specified frequency, which you can adjust at your own discretion. You can choose absolutely any topic. You will also be pleased with the design when switching between windows using the Win+Tab combination.

And by applying the described Aero Patch for your initial version of the operating system, you will almost literally get Windows 7 maximum.

Cautions

Before using the described patch, you need to make sure that the system has not previously installed programs that are associated with changing the personalization panel. If there are any, they need to be removed, otherwise the correct operation of the patch is not guaranteed. You may have to reinstall the system again.

In addition, you should not install the patch without first creating a restore point. This is highly recommended so that you can return to the system state before installing the Aero Patch.

Installing a theme for Windows 7 is very simple and does not require any special computer skills from the user. Initial setup It will take about 5-10 minutes, since you need to patch the system and learn how to install new designs. The above steps only need to be done once. The following theme changes are not required reinstallation patches and obtaining rights to system files.

Step 2

Go to the personalization panel and in the “Installed themes” section we find our theme.

Step 3

Double-click on the theme name and observe changes in the interface design.

Replacing system files

Here are the main ones:
Explorer.exe(changes the design of the Start button) - location C:/Windows
ExplorerFrame.dll(changes the design of the explorer navigation button) - location C:/Windows/system32

2. Now you need to rename the “Explorer.exe” file to any other one. (For example in Explorer2.exe, Explorerorigin.exe, etc.)

3. Open our folder with the theme that we downloaded, copy the file “Explorer.exe” from there and paste it into the C:/Windows directory

4. We do the same actions with the remaining two files
