Asus Wi-Fi connection. Connecting Asus RT-N12 and setting it up. Updating the firmware and software of the Asus router

This article will step by step introduce the settings Asus router RT-N12. Here you can see step by step and in pictures the process of connecting, setting up, and then operating the router.

This device works with stationary and tablet computers, smartphones, laptops, modern TVs via Wi-Fi, etc. Otherwise, you can use the device's cable connection instead of wireless.

The router is configured according to the following scheme:

In order to correctly configure the router, you will need information about the type, which is specified in the contract with the Internet service provider, and whether the binding is done to the physical address of the network device. Moreover, if the connection is of the type Point to point protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE)/Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP)/Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP), most likely you will also need information such as user login, system password, as well as the IP address. Of course, this information is available in the contract.

Note! In some cases, the default network name is set to something other than the factory name, or even a password is entered. Either this router has already been carried out once. One way or another, before each new setting recommended to do full reset to the factory state - this can be done by holding the back button for more than ten seconds - after which all indicators will go out for a while, a complete reboot will be carried out, and a return to the default settings will be carried out.

Settings via control panel

After connecting the router, and after establishing a signal between it and the computer, you need to:

  1. Enter the following address in the address bar of any browser: 192.168.1.1.

  2. After this, the “Control Panel” will open with a large selection of settings. IN in this case Settings wizard required. To do this, click on the “Go” button.

  3. After this, the system will ask you to come up with an individual password for the “Control Panel” of the router settings. You must provide a password in any case. First in the main field, then in the additional confirmation field, and after that you should move to the next window by clicking on “Next”.

  4. In the next settings window wireless network necessary in the line “Network name » enter the name of the Wi-Fi network you are using, and in the “Network key” line » register new key, which will be used when connecting to the network. You must click "Apply" » and wait a little.

  5. The router will reboot. In the network connections field, in place of the old Wi-Fi network, a new one will appear, with an individually specified name. When connecting to it, a new password will also be used.

  6. Once connected, you need to return to the “Control Panel” again. There you should open a page with information about this connection. After clicking on “Next” » , the system will display a new window.

  7. There will be an inscription in the new window « Sign in » and a request for a login with a password. This is the same login and password for the settings menu. They should be entered in the appropriate fields.

Configure manually

If everything goes smoothly, then everything is in order, and most likely additional problems will not occur when connecting. This means that in this case the provider connects using “Automatic IP”, and thus the router sets all the parameters independently. In this case, at this stage you can already connect to the Internet and work.

However, there is another option. In some cases, providers use a connection type Layer 2 Tuneling Protocol (L2TP), Point to Point Tuneling Protocol (PPTP) , static ip , or Point to point protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) (used by providers such as Beeline or Dom.ru), in this case you will have to carry out manual setting a number of parameters.

Step 1. If the provider uses the above connection technologies, then in the “Manage Settings” menu, when the connection is checked, the system will offer several types of Internet connections to choose from.

Step 2. In the next window, you will need to enter the username and password that are used when connecting. This information must be specified in the contract from the Internet service provider. You may also need to enter information such as IP address, service name, etc. Each situation varies depending on the Internet provider and the connection itself.

Step 3. During setup, immediately after the router connects to the Internet, you will be asked to configure Wi-Fi, etc. Everything should be configured immediately, according to the principle already indicated. You can change your Internet connection (WAN) settings yourself. To do this, go to the main settings page, find the “Internet” tab there » and select "Connection" » .

This page contains the basic and most important Internet connection parameters for the Asus rt N12 router. After the name of the wireless network and password have been remembered, when the Internet is working normally, you can close the settings menu.

How to set up Wi-Fi and change the password

In order to change the name of the Wi-Fi network at any time, or change the key used when connecting directly to Wi-Fi:

A number of network settings, including channel parameters, are located in the left panel on the main page, on the “Wireless Network” tab » .

Once the network name and also the key are changed, the access point will also change, so of course you will need to reconnect the first time. In some cases, it is not possible to connect - sometimes such problems occur after changing the password. In this case, it is recommended to remove network connection, create again, and then make the connection again.

How to protect your router settings

Earlier in the article it was already indicated that you need to create a password for the “Settings Panel”. However, in some cases, if the user did not do this in time, or some problems arise, or you need to change the password, you need to do the following:

Note! When entering the add-in menu, this particular password will be entered. It should be written down separately, otherwise you will have to roll back the router to factory settings.

In this step by step instructions Let's take a closer look at how to configure the Asus RT-N10 Wi-Fi router in its various variants:

  • RT-N10P
  • RT-N10+ D1
  • RT-N10E B1
  • RT-N10 B1
  • RT-N10 C1
  • RT-N10U B

And other modifications of this popular and cheap Asus wireless router. Basic Wi-Fi setup Asus router RT-N10, regardless of its modification, is no different. That is, if you need to configure the router so that it distributes wired internet on wireless devices- It is not necessary to know which of these options for the Asus RT-N10 Wi-Fi router you have. The only possible difficulty is the new firmware 3.0.0.x on some models (black background) or 7.0.2.31 on other versions (although routers do not go on sale with this firmware), but in fact, this is not a difficulty - all the actions necessary for successful setup are completely identical. However, we will include screenshots of this firmware here.

  • Preparing for setup, Wi-Fi connection router Asus RT-N10
  • How to enter the settings of Asus RT-N10
  • Setting up an L2TP Beeline connection on firmware 2.0.x, 7.0.0.x (plus setting up Beeline television)
  • Setting up PPPoE connection from Rostelecom and Dom.ru on Asus RT-N10 with firmware 2.0.x (plus setting IPTV Rostelecom)
  • Setting up a wireless network, setting a Wi-Fi password on Asus
  • Setting up Asus RT-N10 with new firmware
  • Firmware Asus RT-N10

For novice users who have never set up routers, let me note: there is nothing complicated about this, the whole process will take no more than 15 minutes.

Preparing for setup and connecting the Asus RT-N10 router

Before setting up a Wi-Fi router, you should connect it correctly, and experience shows that even with this there are problems. And besides this, pay attention to some network settings, which may be critical for successful setup.

First of all, it is recommended to check the connection settings using local network, which is used to configure Asus RT-N10. In particular, the TCP/IP protocol parameters should be set to “Obtain an IP address automatically.” How to do this is written in detail (will open in a new tab).

The next point to remember: if your provider uses connections like PPPoE, L2TP, PPTP and others, that is, in order to access the Internet, after turning on the computer, you launch some kind of Beeline, Rostelecom, Dom.ru connection from the desktop or from the list of connections in the taskbar, disconnect this connection. And do not connect again either while setting up the router or after the wireless router has already been configured. Those. this connection will be established by Asus RT-N10 itself in the future; you do not need to launch anything, otherwise you will get a result in which the Internet will only be available on the computer, but not via Wi-Fi.

And now about connecting the Asus RT-N10. On back side The router has five network connectors. One of them stands out among the rest - connect the cable of your Internet provider to it. And connect one of the remaining ports to the corresponding port network card your computer, then turn on the power to the router. You can start setting up.

How to enter the settings of the Asus RT-N10 router

Go to router settings

In order to go into the settings of the Asus router, launch the browser (it is already running if you are reading this, so it’s better to open new tab) and enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, after which you should see a username and password prompt. The standard login and password for routers from this manufacturer are admin and admin, here and there. You may be asked to change your default login information, please do so. After this, you will find yourself on the main settings page of the Asus RT-N10, which looks like this:

On this page, all operations for setting up connections, setting a password for Wi-Fi and other actions are performed, which we will now do.

Setting up Asus RT-N10 for Beeline

In order to configure an Asus router for Beeline, on the main page of the router settings, click “WAN” in the menu on the left, then fill in the parameters for the Beeline L2TP Internet connection, which look like this:

Setting up a Beeline connection on Asus RT-N10 (beeline l2tp)

Basic parameters to set:

  • WAN connection type: L2TP
  • Selecting an IPTV port - if you use Beeline television, select the port to which you will connect the Beeline TV set-top box.
  • Obtain an IP address automatically - Yes
  • Connect to DNS automatically - Yes
  • Username, password - your data for Internet access from the Beeline provider
  • PPTP/L2TP (VPN) server - tp.internet.beeline.ru
  • Apply the settings. On some firmwares Asus settings are not saved if you do not enter anything in the “Hostname” field. Enter beeline.

If no errors were made, and the Beeline connection on the computer is broken, then after a short time the connection to the Internet will be established and all that remains is to configure the parameters wireless connection. You can make sure that the Internet is working by opening a new tab and trying to access a website. About setting up Wi-Fi on Asus, see below, after the information on setting up a router for Rostelecom and Dom.ru.

Setting up Asus RT-N10 Rostelecom and Dom.ru

In order to configure the Asus RT-N10 Wi-Fi router to work with Rostelecom and Dom.ru providers, which use PPPoE to access the Internet, follow these steps:

  • In the menu on the left, select “WAN”
  • Set the necessary connection parameters, the key ones being Connection type (PPPoE), automatic acquisition of an IP address and DNS (you need to set it to “Yes”), your Rostelecom or Dom.ru login and password. The remaining parameters can be left unchanged. If the settings do not save without entering anything in the Hostname field, enter rostelecom or domru. Also, if you need to set up Rostelecom IPTV, specify the port to which you will connect the TV set-top box.

Save the settings and wait a short time. The router will have to establish a connection to the Internet and if you try to access any page, it will open, despite the fact that the Rostelecom or Dom.ru connection on the computer itself is disabled. Now it is advisable to configure the wireless Wi-Fi network settings.

Setting up a wireless network and how to set a password on Wi-Fi Asus

Another of the main tasks when setting up a Wi-Fi router is setting up the parameters of the wireless network, which is necessary so that, firstly, strangers cannot connect to it, and secondly, to make it more convenient for you to use it. Setting up Wi-Fi does not depend on what provider you have - Beeline, Rostelecom or any other.

In order to configure the basic parameters of the wireless network and set a password for Wi-Fi, in the settings menu on the left, click “Wireless Network” and on the “General” tab enter the basic parameters:

  • SSID (Wireless Network Name) - Enter something of your own here, so you will distinguish your network from others. It is better to use the Latin alphabet, otherwise some devices may have problems connecting via Wi-Fi.
  • Authentication method - WPA2-Personal
  • The WPA Preshared Key is your Wi-Fi password, which must be at least 8 characters long.
  • You don't have to change the other parameters, especially if you don't know what they mean.

Apply the settings. Wait for a message indicating that the Wi-Fi settings have been successfully changed. And, in fact, that’s all - you can try connecting via Wi-Fi from a laptop, phone or tablet, everything should work.

Setting up the Asus RT-N10 router with new firmware

Frankly speaking, I don’t know if Wi-Fi routers with this type of firmware are on sale (in my opinion, yes, for example Asus RT-N10P and RT-N10U), but it can be downloaded and installed on some models of the RT-N10 router . The firmware index is 3.0.0.x and the web interface of the router with this firmware version looks like this:

As you can see, despite the fact that the design style has changed, the location of the settings menu items remains unchanged when compared with firmware 2.0.0.x and 7.0.0.x. Therefore, the basic setup of an Asus Wi-Fi router with new firmware occurs in exactly the same way as was described above for Beeline, Rostelecom and Dom.ru.

Firmware Asus RT-N10

If you want to flash the Asus RT-N10 router, then this is not particularly difficult. First of all, you will need to download the firmware from the official website. Considering that there are quite a large number of modifications of this router, it is important not to make a mistake here. To do this, go to the router settings panel and select “Administration” in the menu on the left, then open the “Firmware Update” tab.

Pay attention to two points: Product ID and Firmware Version - this information tells you which Asus RT-N10 you have, as well as what firmware is currently installed.

At the top of the page there is a link to the firmware page, but you should not click on it - from experience, it does not always lead to the correct router model. Therefore, the best option to download firmware for an Asus router is to go to the website http://www.asus.com/ru/, select products - Network equipment - Wireless routers, then go to the page of your router model, click the “Support” link, and then click “Download”. In the group " Software» you will find all the firmware that can be downloaded and installed on the router. Download the correct firmware version, extract the firmware zip file, and return to your router's firmware update page.

Click Select New Firmware File and then Submit. Wait for the Asus router firmware to complete; it will take about three minutes, during which the connection with the router may be interrupted. When finished, you will see that the firmware version on your router has been updated.

I hope this instruction helped you. If it's not difficult, share it on social networks using the buttons below.

Setting up an Asus router is a fairly simple process that does not cause any difficulties. However, to avoid problems, you still need to adhere to a certain algorithm. This instruction universal for all routers from this manufacturer.

Knowing how to connect and configure this device gives the user a lot of options. He will be able not only to use the router, but also to enter all the necessary information. This could be changing personal data, setting up the Internet, or the ability to change settings.

Connection and configuration follow a simple scheme:

  1. The user connects the router and then goes into the settings.
  2. ASUS provides the opportunity quick setup using special functions.
  3. If it is impossible to configure through the wizard, you can contact your WAN provider.
  4. Enter personal data, set a password and change your name if necessary.
  5. Change password.

To configure the router, you will need additional information. The user needs to know what type of connection the provider uses. If he uses PPTP or L2TP, information about personal data will be needed. To get all the necessary data, just contact your provider.

How to quickly connect and configure

Important! There are cases when the network is called differently. Sometimes it is password protected. This is an indicator that another user has already attempted to configure the ASUS. Therefore, it is recommended to reset all settings before proceeding. To do this, you need to press the button located on the back of the device and do not release it for 10-15 seconds. After this time, the indicators will go out and the router will turn on again.

Go to the control panel

After a successful connection, the user needs to open the browser that he usually uses.

  1. In the address bar you need to write the following: 192.168.1.1. If everything is done correctly, the settings will open immediately. The “Welcome to ASUS” window will appear. At the bottom of the screen there will be a “Go” button.

  2. After clicking, you will be prompted to write a password that will help protect your device settings. Experts advise that you pay close attention to the reliability of the data you enter; the password should be difficult to crack. It is better to write down all the necessary data on a piece of paper so that there are no problems with logging in in the future. Tips “Weak”, “Reliable”, “Very reliable” will pop up in the window. It is recommended to combine capital letters and capital letters combined with numbers.

  3. Clicking “Next” will bring up the “Wireless Network Settings” window. You must provide a unique network name; you can also use the SSID (wireless network identifier). It is important to fill in the “Network key” field, in which you indicate strong password to connect. It should not duplicate the password set for the router. This data will be needed to identify the user’s wireless network; it is also recommended to write it down on a piece of paper.

  4. You will have to wait for some time, the router must reboot. Now a window will appear with the name that was specified earlier. You need to click on the “Connect” button and enter the password. It is recommended to check the box next to “Connect automatically”.

  5. As soon as the connection is made, you need to return to “Quick Internet setup”, “Router settings” item. Everything will be reflected there necessary information by connection. The user must click Next.

  6. The “Sign In” window will appear. You need to specify the data that was previously specified in the settings. By clicking the “Login” button, the user will successfully complete the process of connecting and setting up the router.

Note! Often the entire process runs smoothly when the provider uses automatic IP address. The device configures everything itself. But L2TP, PPPoE and PPTP involve a longer connection process. There is nothing complicated in the actions, but the user will need to enter a number of data manually.

Setting up a router for other connection types

In this case, after checking the connection, the “Select the type of WAN connection provided by your Internet service provider” window will appear. This indicator will need to be selected manually:

  • PPPoE;
  • PPTR;
  • L2TP.

On this tab you can familiarize yourself with the basic settings, WAN IP address settings, WAN DNS and change them if necessary. At this stage, the connection and configuration of the ASUS router ends.

Important Settings

These tasks are simple to perform, but no less important. To change the name of the wireless network, you need to:

Important! Once the user changes the password or name, they will need to connect their devices to Wi-Fi again. If problems occur, it is recommended to delete the network and perform all connection steps again.

An important point is to protect your router settings. If you need to enter a new password or replace an old one, you need to:

Now only these specified data will be used for login.

Video - Setting up the router (router) Asus RT-N12+

Hello dear readers of the blog site. As I promised, I continue to talk about setting up routers of different brands and models. In order to choose a router that suits your functionality, I advise you to read the article. Today I want to tell you how to configure the Asus RT-N10 router with your own hands.

If you purchased this model, then you did right choice. Asus produces very high-quality equipment at reasonable prices. Several years ago, the routers of this company had many software and hardware problems, but with the arrival of a large number of competitors, the company had to launch the production of high-quality devices, which later allowed it to carve out a certain niche for itself in this segment.

Before setting up the Asus RT-N10 router with your own hands, I would like to say a few words about this model. While working as a computer repairman, I had to deal with wifi devices different companies. The RT-N10 router is one of the highest quality and affordable devices for organizing a wireless network in a small room. The device of this company allows you to create a stable and fairly fast network in his apartment.

Majority wifi routers Internet speed is greatly reduced (usually by half), however this model allows you to use the Internet at the same speed as when connecting a cable directly to your computer.

So, we’ve finished the introductory part, let’s proceed directly to setting up the ASUS-RT10N router with our own hands.

If you did not purchase a new router, but took it from friends or acquaintances, or brought it with you when moving, then I advise you to start.

Connecting a router

The router comes with a power cable, instructions, installation disk and a type cable for connecting to a computer. The first thing we need to do is decide on the installation location of the device. The ideal location is considered to be the middle of the apartment, since the radius of the coverage area is evenly distributed throughout the room. There are situations when the length of the Internet cable does not allow placing the device in the right place. You can read about what needs to be done to solve this problem in the article. I would also like to say that it is not always possible to install the router in the right place, and if after setting up and connecting the router you are faced with the fact that there is a poor signal level at one end of your apartment, then I suggest you familiarize yourself with possible ways solutions to the current situation in the following articles and.

So, we have decided on the installation location and the first thing we do is connect our device to a power outlet and turn it on by pressing the power button located on the back of the router in close proximity to the power connector. After the router is fully loaded, insert the Internet cable into the WAN connector, which is also located on the back. If you did everything correctly, the following indicators should light up on the front side:

  • Availability of food;
  • WiFi module operation;
  • Availability of connected internet cable (link).

Login to settings

In order to enter the router settings, there are two ways:

  1. Connecting to the router via cable(the easiest way). To do this, we need to use the included twisted pair cable and plug one end into any free connector on the router, and the other end into the device from which we will change the parameters.
  2. Connecting to the router via wifi. There are times when your device does not have a twisted pair connector (found on laptops Apple), then we will perform the setup via a wireless network.

These two methods are very similar, but have slight differences.

Connecting to the router via cable

This method allows you to log into the router without searching for the required wireless network and entering additional passwords. All you need to do is check if the properties are set correctly in Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). An example of setting properties when connecting through a router is shown in the figure below.

Connecting to the router via wifi

In order to configure the router with your own hands via wifi connection, it is necessary to carry out several simple operations. The first thing you need to do is find the desired wireless network and connect to it. Read about how to do this in the article. If you are asked for a password during connection, you must enter it. The network name and password are most often written on the bottom of the router.

Just like in the first method, check that the properties in the TCP/IPv4 protocol are correct.
We consider that all actions were performed correctly and proceed to next step Login to settings. In order to open the Wi-Fi device firmware (the same for both connection methods), you need to open any of the available browsers and enter the IP address of the router in the address input field. Typically, on these models, the address is indicated on the bottom of the router next to the network name and password. It looks something like this: 192.168.1.1. After entering the address, a window for entering your login and password should appear in front of you. For a router of this model, they are standard: login: “admin”, password: “admin”.

When connecting ASUS routers for the first time, most often you will not have to perform such actions, since when you open any browser, the installation program will launch the configuration firmware in automatic mode.

Setting up the router

If you got to the router settings menu through automatic start, then a quick settings window will open in front of you. If you had to enter the IP address and then get to the menu step by step, then you will see home page microprograms

Configure the Asus RT-N10 router through the quick setup window

During quick setup, you will be prompted to change several items. The first thing the menu will offer is changing the base password in the panel. My personal advice is not to change the password, but enter the same one as when logging in (admin), since in the future you may need to enter the menu, and you will most likely forget the password if you do not write it down in a safe place. After each completed task, click the next button to move to the next item.

The next step is to determine the type of connection; it can be a dynamic or static IP address. I advise you to contact the technical support of your provider, he will tell you which specific items you need to select and if the provider provides a connection via static IP, then he will provide addresses that will need to be entered in the appropriate fields.

And the last thing you need to do is set a new name wifi networks, which you like best and come up with a password to protect it. The network name can be absolutely anything, but must contain only Latin letters and numbers. The password can be anything, but must be at least 8 characters and not contain Cyrillic.

After everything is done, the router will reboot automatically and only after that the changed settings will take effect.

Setting up a router through the main menu

If, after entering the firmware, you are not presented with a quick setup window, but with a full menu of the router’s internal settings, then the algorithm will be slightly different, but there should be no problems with it either.

The first thing you need to do is go to the tab Additional settings/Internet, you will see a list of possible connection types. Depending on how your provider provides Internet connection services, we choose one or another type of connection. Most often, the connection occurs using a dynamic IP address. If the provider provides a static address, then selecting in the tab Connection type namely statics, you will need to register the data that your provider provides.

The second step is to configure the wireless network and install to secure the connection. To do this, go to the tab Wireless network and enter the following data:

  • SSID (name of the wireless network) – as in the first setup option, you need to come up with something of your own to distinguish your network from many other networks;
  • Verification method – select WPA2-Personal (the most stable and secure method);
  • Password – must contain at least 8 characters and can consist of both Latin letters and numbers.

I also advise you to change the channel from Auto to 6-9, this will allow you to maintain a stable connection with your router and avoid interference from other routers.

The last thing to do is apply the settings. After clicking the corresponding button, wait until the settings are fully applied and to be sure, reboot the router (it happens that after installing new equipment, it must be authorized on the service provider’s server and the poppy address will be reassigned). When your self-configured router reboots, you can easily connect to the wireless network from any device.

There are situations when during setup the need arises; you can read about how to do this in another article.

I hope that this article will help you configure the ASUS RT-N10 router yourself. If you encounter any difficulties during setup, then you can leave all your questions in the comments, where I, or the readers of my wonderful blog, will help you figure it out.

This article will discuss all aspects related to setting up routers from the well-known company ASUS when connecting to the Rostelecom provider. The points related to the parameters and connecting them to the Internet will be described. We will also shed light on all the advantages and disadvantages when choosing routers from this company. An example would be setting up the ASUS RT N12 router for Rostelecom.

Setting up the ASUS RT N12 router for Rostelecom

There are several connectors on the back of the device. Four of them are designed to connect home network other computers and devices, and the fifth is required to connect your service provider's cord. Settings should be performed from a device that has a direct connection to the network card.

Important: when connecting, check your network settings operating system. In the selected section, you will need to set to receive an IP address automatically.

Next, we will directly install the router. There is a sticker on the back panel that shows the IP address, username and key to enter its parameters. To launch the device installation window, you need to enter its address in the browser line. For the company in question, it is the same 192.168.1.1. Next, the router will select the parameters automatically; you just need to fill in a few simple fields. The user will be prompted to change the key to the router settings, then the device will automatically select the connection type, require a password for the Internet and offer to come up with a name and password for your Wi-Fi. On this automatic selection parameters is completed and the Internet should start working. If there is still no Internet, then the information below is especially for you.

Setting router parameters manually

To perform parameterization manually, select the “Connection” tab and enter the following data:

  • WAN connection – PPPoE;
  • activate WAN – yes;
  • enable NAT – yes;
  • activate UPnP – no;
  • receive IP automatically – yes;
  • automatically connect to DNS – yes;
  • Enter the login name and key provided by the provider.

The rest of the data should be left as default. If everything is done correctly, then you will already be able to view Internet pages from your computer and other devices connected to the network. If necessary, you can also set up a wireless network.

Wi-Fi setup

In the router interface, find “Wireless Networks” – “General” and set:

  • hide SSID – no;
  • SSID – enter your name Wi-Fi networks;
  • Wi-Fi network mode – auto;
  • channel width 20/40 MHz;
  • channel – 7;
  • extended channel – auto;
  • WPA key – come up with a password for your Wi-Fi network;
  • authentication method – WPA-Personal;
  • encryption WPA - AES.

After this, save the parameters and exit the router interface. Checking the Internet connection. Next, we will consider a number of problems that usually arise when setting the parameters of this device.

Setting up the ASUS RT G32 router for Rostelecom is practically no different from installing the previous one, but there are a few points you should know. If you select WPA2-Personal. Also, when installing the router itself, you will be asked to select a port. If you have television from this company, select the same port.

Configuring ASUS DSL N10, RT N10P and RT N 10U routers for Rostelecom

Since the three above devices belong to the same family, their setup is no different from each other. We connect the wires in the same way as on the RT N12, after which we proceed to installation. We enter the same IP address in the browser line. And in general, the parameters of these models are not much different from the previous ones. We will be asked to set the time zone, select “GMT+02.00 South Africa, Greece, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Turkey”.

When prompted to select a provider, select Others. In the settings window that opens, set the same configurations as described above. As you can see, setting up ASUS routers for Rostelecom is not particularly difficult, you just need to strictly follow the instructions.

Important: when setting up the ASUS RT N10P router for Rostelecom, you should not take it into account too much high speed data transfer. Therefore, if the load on the router will be more than 1 device, we recommend purchasing another router.

Possible problems and troubleshooting

If the computer reports that it is not possible to access the Internet, follow these steps. You need to set the wireless network settings on your computer to the same ones that you specified when parameterizing the router.

If there is Wi-Fi, but no access to the Internet, go to the settings and check if there is a connection to Rostelecom. If not, reboot your router. If the problem persists, contact your provider.
