If any of the above conditions are violated or if any number is entered incorrectly, the system considers the PIN code to be incorrect. A total of three attempts to enter the PIN code are provided. After this, the system is blocked for 5 minutes. During this time, the LED turns off once per second for a short period of time.

Anxiety

The system responds to violations of protected areas with siren warning signals or an alarm signal, during which; The siren sounds, the lights and interior lights flash. The following system signals are possible:

Three siren warning signals sound if the impact sensor detects a light impact to the body. One alarm cycle of 30 seconds follows if the shock sensor detected a strong blow, any door, hood or trunk was opened and then closed, the ignition was turned on and then turned off. Six consecutive alarm cycles follow, and the open zone is disarmed until it is closed or the next time the system is armed, if any of the doors, the hood, the trunk were opened and left open, or the ignition was turned on and left on. The peak sales of alarm systems with two-way communication are already in the past, but nevertheless, these alarms remain relevant today. At the same time, most car owners are well aware that in such a system the main emphasis is on the service functions of the alarm, sometimes to the detriment of security ones. Therefore, when purchasing a two-way alarm system, you should pay special attention to the additional protection of the car. In this article we will look at a security complex based on a two-way alarm system CENTURION NAD (cost 2400/3700 rubles with installation). And for reliable protection, we additionally install on our car a CENTURION BLOCKPOST immobilizer with digital locking (cost 3200/4800 rubles with installation) and two mechanical locks - on the hood and on the gearbox from the BEAR-LOCK company.

CENTURION NAD

COMPLETENESS: central unit, transmitter with driver call button, key fob with two-way communication with LCD display, regular key fob, LED, Valet button, locking relay, shock sensor.
KEY FEATURES: The main feature of the system, of course, is two-way communication. Key fob with two-way communication - four-button with LCD display, backlight and vibration mode. The LCD display clearly displays icons informing about the operation of the system. The arming and disarming buttons on the key fob are spaced apart, which indicates the ability to resist a code grabber. The transmission range of commands from the key fob is 50–100 m, and the receiving range is 150–400 m. In addition, the range of transmission of commands from the key fob can be increased to 150–400 m; for this, when installing the system, it is necessary to replace the standard system transmitter module with a module with increased range (purchased additionally, cost 500 rubles).
An important feature of the model is the presence of a control mode for the location of the key fob within the system’s coverage area. If you enable this mode when programming the system, then every 30 minutes. a special signal is automatically sent from the system to the key fob. And if the key fob after the next 30 minutes. has not received the corresponding signal, it will inform about this with sound signals.
The set of service capabilities of the system is standard, among the features we note: a driver call button, the ability to implement two-step door unlocking, turbo timer mode (1/3 min.), a two-digit PIN code for emergency shutdown of the system, the ability to control an additional alarm installed on a second car, and two additional service channels. The first service channel can be used to unlock the trunk, on/off. additional device or to turn on the “light path”. The second service channel can also be used to turn on/off. additional device, as well as to turn on the “polite interior lighting”.

CENTURION BLOCKPOST

COMPLETENESS: central unit, digital locking relay, additional conventional locking relay, two active tags, plastic card, ferrite and loop antennas, LED and Valet button.
KEY FEATURES: The system can be controlled both using an active tag, made in the form of a key fob, and using a passive transponder, made in the form of a plastic card. And in order for the system to identify the owner, you just need to sit in the driver’s seat with a tag or card in your pocket. Until the system detects a transponder in the identification zone, the vehicle's engine remains blocked.
The system is armed automatically 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off or after the ignition is turned off and one of the doors is opened.
To transfer the car to a car service, a service mode is provided, and if the transponder is lost, you can use the emergency shutdown of the system using a four-digit PIN code.
If the car has a standard immobilizer, then a second delay is programmed after turning on the ignition and before polling the transponder.
SECURITY CAPABILITIES: the presence in the delivery set of a digital locking relay system, the control signal to which is supplied via the standard vehicle wiring and indicates high level system protection. Moreover, it is possible to install several such relays.
To prevent interception of the transponder code by the code grabber, a special dialog mode for exchanging information is provided. Having received a message from the system that the car is in the reception area, the transponder broadcasts a radio signal. After receiving the signal, the system broadcasts random number, the transponder takes this number, converts it according to the algorithm written into it and “returns” it to the system. The system simultaneously carries out a similar transformation and compares both codes; if they match, the system is disarmed. Agree, the algorithm is quite complex.
To protect against attack, a special operating mode is provided. After the engine is started and the driver is identified, the system polls the transponder each time the driver's door is opened. But the survey does not occur immediately, but after a certain number of presses on the brake pedal and a subsequent time delay (the number of presses and the time delay are programmable). If the system does not detect the transponder, then secure lock engine operation.

BEAR-LOCK HOOD LOCK

For mechanical locks, we chose two sets from the Polish company BEAR-LOCK, which has long been known to many car enthusiasts around the world and has become recognizable thanks to the keychain with a bear with a key on it.
We chose the first set to protect the engine compartment - this is the BEAR-LOCK mechanical hood lock (cost including installation - about 4,000 rubles). However, this device can be called a lock rather conditionally, since it is a “lock for a lock” - this BEAR-LOCK is used to lock the standard hood lock. It will prevent the standard lock from opening by blocking the pawl, pulling it in the opposite direction. The BEAR-LOCK engine compartment lock itself is reliably protected by two layers of special flexible armor and is equipped with a proprietary BEAR-LOCK cylinder, which can actually withstand a professional “bug-hunter”.

BEAR-LOCK TRANSMISSION LOCK

We chose the second set for locking the gearbox - this is a pinless BEAR-LOCK lock on the gearbox, model No. 55 of the frame type (cost with installation - from 10,000 to 17,000 rubles, depending on the complexity of installation on a specific make of car). Since gearbox designs vary greatly, the company has developed more than 1,000 models of gearbox locks for various brands of cars. What’s interesting is that almost all BEAR-LOCK anti-theft systems are installed on factory “standard” seats that appeared in the car with its birth.
We settled on the lock on the gearbox, and not on the lock on the steering shaft, because in in this case the procedure for “turning on” the additional line of protection is extremely simple - you just need to press the lock cylinder like a button, and it will close itself. Please note that you don’t even need to take out the key for this. But, of course, you have to pay for such advantages - installing a lock on a gearbox is not an example more difficult to install lock on the steering shaft. However, a gearbox lock is usually more effective. It reliably performs its main function - maximizing the time required for the thief to achieve his goal, which very often makes car theft simply impractical and too risky. This is why professional car thieves rarely work with cars equipped with BEAR-LOCK systems.
The entire lock mechanism is hidden under the gearbox console, and only the lock cylinder, protected by special protectors, comes out.

RESUME
An alarm system with two-way communication will allow you to always stay in touch with your car, and an immobilizer with a digital locking relay and two mechanical locks - on the hood and on the gearbox - will protect you from theft.

Instructions

Controlling the Centurion NAD V3 System
The Centurion NAD V3 system is controlled by a remote control made in the form of a key fob (hereinafter referred to as the key fob) at a frequency approved by the State Radio Frequency Committee of Russia. Control commands are generated by short-term (~0.5 sec) or long-term (> 2 sec) pressing one key fob button or sequential or simultaneous pressing of several key fob buttons. The commands generated by the key fob are encoded using a special algorithm
rhythm and are reliably protected from selection. The code generated when the buttons are pressed changes with each press and is not repeated throughout the entire life of the system, which makes its copying by special devices absolutely useless for use. Turning the security mode on and off using different buttons on the key fob makes the procedure of replacing the intercepted code, popular among hijackers, meaningless.

The key fob with display can be used to control the Centurion NAD V3 system and to receive messages transmitted by the system. The control range of the system under normal conditions is within 200 - 400 meters. The distance at which the key fob reliably receives messages sent by the Centurion NAD V3 system under normal conditions is 400 – 600 meters. All processes associated with the operation of the Centurion NAD V3 system are accompanied by sound signals from the key fob and are displayed on the key fob display with clear icons.
The non-display key fob is intended to be used as a backup and can only be used to control the system. The range of the key fob under normal conditions is within 20 – 50 meters. An LED indicator is used to indicate button presses.
Note!!! Graphic symbols on key fob buttons may differ slightly from those shown in the text.
Attention!!! The range of control and reception of signals depends on various factors, for example, on the state of the key fob batteries, on the installation location of the central unit and the system transmitter, on the presence of large metal objects near the car, on the electromagnetic environment and much more. Depending on these factors, the control range may be either less or more than that specified for both key fobs.
