USB printer does not print. Reasons why the printer does not print, but queues. Printer hardware errors and their interpretation

This situation is very familiar to computer users who often work a lot with printers. At one point, the printer simply refuses to print the document sent to it, placing it in the print queue and at the same time giving an error about the impossibility of printing the document. In this article you will learn how to get out of this situation and restore the printer to working order.

Correct sequence of actions

So, the first thing you need to check when the printer refuses to print is whether it is plugged in and whether the button on it is lit, indicating that it is turned on. It is also worth checking the reliability of the cable connection from the computer to the printer.

Checking the printer cable connections

If everything is fine with the wires, they are inserted correctly and the indicators on the printer are lit, then try turning the printer off and on. The same thing should be done with the computer to which the printer is connected.

Also, remember to clear the print queue each time you try to print a document. To do this, turn off the printer and delete all documents in the print queue.

It is also worth checking whether the offline mode is enabled on the printer.

To do this, go to " Devices and Printers" through " Start" or " Control Panel“, find your printer in the list and right-click on it.

Go to devices and printers

Please ensure that the " Pause printing" And " Work autonomously"were removed. Otherwise, remove them by left-clicking on them.

Checking Printer Options

If all of the above did not help and your printer still does not print, but puts documents in the print queue and gives an error, then the last thing that should definitely help solve this problem is reinstalling the driver.

To reinstall the driver, you must first remove the printer itself. For this, everything is the same " Devices and Printers"You need to click on your printer and select " Remove device«.

A printing problem can cause confusion if no error codes or windows appear on the computer screen describing the problem. What could it be?

  1. Problem with . This is due to faulty or aging drivers, faulty software settings, or incorrect wire connections between the PC and the printer.
  2. Lack of ink in the cartridges or clogged ink supply channels in the CISS, as well as clogged print head.
  3. Perhaps the most important possible cause of failure is an internal hardware defect. If something breaks inside, then you will have to run to the service center.

Of course, if the connection cord or power cord fails, you can go to the store and buy a new one for your device model, but you need to be able to diagnose this problem.

Ways to distinguish printer hardware problems from internal printer errors

If the printer malfunction is due to systemic reasons, a message will appear on your computer screen, as well as on the monitor of the printing device itself. When nothing happens, you can think about an internal malfunction.

Each problem has its own symptoms. For example, a laser problem is accompanied by faded streaks and faint text on sheets. In addition, a general printer error appears on the monitor. But damage to the paper transport mechanism will be indicated by the orange indicator on the working panel printer.

Software errors related to printer performance

Today's ones are highly reliable. However, this does not insure them against malfunctions on program level. What problems can cause a printing device to refuse to print information on paper?

Incorrect installation of printer software in Windows 10: what can we do?

The symptom of such a problem is most often a pop-up window and the print assigned to it. To check how good the driver is, we will diagnose it manually.

  1. Go to the Start menu, then Settings.
  2. Here open “Devices”, go to the “Printers and Scanners” tab, find the desired model, then go to “Hardware Properties”.
  3. A dialog box with device parameters will open. If everything is fine here, it will show that “Device is working normally.”

If you have a similar situation, we continue to look for the problem. If the drivers are outdated, try updating them via the installation disk or finding the appropriate ones on the Internet.

An error in the Windows operating system and its impact on the printing progress of the printer

Checking the settings operating system and contact the dispatcher. We need to determine whether the computer sees the connected printing device. To do this, go to "Device Manager", click "Printers" and make sure that your model appears in this list.

If this device does not appear, try reinstalling it or updating the driver software.

Also, the cause of a software malfunction may be incompatibility of operating systems with this type of device. In this case, you will have to select a special driver that is suitable for the bit size and OS version.

Why a network printer may not work and how to fix this problem

A network printer is a printing device that is shared by multiple people. different computers. If you are faced with the fact that such equipment refuses to print documents, it probably has its own print queue (that is, someone is already using the device).

All you have to do is wait until the printer memory is completely free.

Also cause printing problems in network printers It could also be a virus that got into the software from another PC. Here it is advisable to check the entire OS for infections. To do this, connect antivirus program and scan all devices and drives that are on your PC and paired with it.

USEFUL TO KNOW!

After scanning for viruses and removing them from the system, be sure to uninstall and reinstall the printer software. This will help clean the application from unwanted threats.

Printer hardware errors and their interpretation

In addition to software reasons, there may also be hardware reasons. They are divided into mild and serious. If the first version of printing problems can be fixed with your own hands, then the second requires the intervention of an experienced technician.

If the print queue is filled by mistake, so that the printer does not waste ink and paper, you can simply empty it.

Have you noticed that the printer turns off or tries to restart on its own? There's probably a problem with the wiring of the device. You can check this by connecting the USB plug one by one to the corresponding sockets on the system unit.

If the dysfunction persists, it is likely that the cable itself has failed. There is nothing left to do but buy a new one.

If the monitor shows that one of the cartridges is empty, then the device will not print with the others.

The reason for the failure may also be the instability of the cartridges: either they have run out of ink, or they are inserted incorrectly. As trivial as it may seem, after their service life has expired, paint cassettes may simply be incompatible with PU. Let's look at several error options.

  1. If a message appears on the computer screen that it is time to replace the cartridges, you need to check the ink levels in them - often the software shows an error in the amount of ink.
  2. If the display shows that one of the cartridges has a “cross”, its use is limited. Here it is better to reboot all ink cartridges at once. This problem can be caused by a hardware software failure.
  3. If the screen says that the cartridge is running out of ink or it’s time to replace it, but when you remove it you see the opposite, this type hardware may not be compatible with the printer itself.

Malfunctions of the printing machine itself

When the printer does not turn on, but there is electricity in the house and is quite reliably supplied to the printing device, the problem may be purely mechanical: failure of the start button or any other keys responsible for the operation of the keys. If this is the case, you will have to replace the button, and if the fuse is blown, then it will urgently need to be replaced, since all the electricity passes through it. Let’s also look at the details of common problems with modern printers.

  1. Piggyback problem. You can notice this if the printer turns on, but nothing happens when you launch the printing tools.
  2. Loop problems. You can notice this if the printer does not make any sounds when starting up. You can usually hear the characteristic sound of the internal mechanism moving.
  3. Closing the driving mechanism. This device is required to start the print head. To check it, you need to remove it from the control panel and ring it.
  4. Print head failure. Unfortunately, this part cannot be repaired, so after a breakdown it can only be replaced, and this task can be entrusted to better hands masters

When the machine pulls a lot of paper (typical of roll media), the problem is usually caused by a software glitch that occurred due to internal problems with equipment. Power outages and unexpected reboots of the device are usually to blame.

What to do if the operation of printers from different brands is suspended: common problems with devices

Each type of printer from different brands has its own types of breakdowns. Let's discuss them in more detail.

When the cartridge is replaced, ink monitoring should start automatically.

Printing machines from trademark Canon occupy one of the leading positions in the office equipment market, but users, despite the quality of the internal design of the device, notice some problems - for example, the printer stops printing. What could this be connected with?

If the software has been completely checked, the problem is probably in the mechanism of the device. In such models, errors often occur immediately after refilling the cartridges. If you poured ink carelessly or overdid it, this will definitely affect the print. After this, the print head must be cleaned.

USEFUL TO KNOW!

If the ink level control mechanism is turned off, then the sensor has become unusable. The only way out is to buy a new one. And if you want, you can just look in and take out the ink every time to check.

If the HP printer does not print, what should I do?

If the media weight is too heavy, the paper pick rollers may not turn,

No equipment is designed to operate indefinitely without failure. If it happens that HP equipment does not print, you need to figure it out urgently.

Incorrect printer software settings often generate an error in the operating system. Windows system, so be sure to check all messages during the installation process and follow each stage. Also, an HP printer may refuse to print information on paper due to internal failures.

The most common reason for a lack of printing is a lack of ink. An incorrectly connected cable can also cause a similar error. Therefore, carefully check that all outputs are free and that the contacts on the plugs are clean.

Often, due to inexperience, users install ink cartridges incorrectly, which the printer reports with an error or simply does not recognize objects inside the slots. And these nests become clogged very easily when dust or small debris gets in.

Epson printer does not print

Epson brand printers are expensive, prestigious and remain operational for a long time. Let's look at what an Epson owner may encounter.

  1. Problems with the operating system or its incorrect installation.
  2. If your computer does not see the printer in the manager, it's time to reinstall the software and update the drivers.
  3. Vertical or horizontal stripes when printing - it's time to calibrate and clean the print head.
  4. Dark stripes may appear due to a malfunction magnetic shaft which needs to be replaced.
  5. If the printer does not print black, it may be out of ink of that color. Replenish or replace the cartridge.
  6. If other shades are not printed, you need to clean the nozzle of each cartridge.

We have analyzed the most popular problems associated with serious and trivial reasons. Next, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with a number of questions and answers - perhaps you will find some interesting points.

Frequently asked questions about printer operation

If you haven't found the answer to your printer problem, read on. We have selected the most popular questions on this topic.

Not all printers allow reuse of paper containing a printed fragment.

Missing sheets through printing in the printer without any characters at the output is caused not only by incorrect print settings, but also by a clogged print head. First of all, you need to correct all the settings in the printer application, then restart the OS and enjoy the functionality of the device.

If the problem is in the print head, you should clean it. This is done individually in each device. To perform manipulation on an Epson device, you need to go to the internal settings of the application for working with the printer, find the “Service” tab and here select the “Print head cleaning” operation. After completing the procedure, click the “OK” button.

After 40 copies made, it is necessary to clean the print head in the MFP.

Literally everyone has encountered this problem. The reason is different for everyone, but often the problem appears due to the following factors:

  • There is a foreign object in the paper tray. You can get it out with tweezers, and if that doesn’t work, disconnect the device from the wires and shake it slightly;
  • Using low-quality paper or paper of insufficient thickness. Before purchasing sheets, make sure they are compatible with your printer model. If the device does not pick up photo paper, check its thickness and the availability of the appropriate option;
  • A software glitch or lack of voltage may cause paper to grip poorly. Check the printer's power and restart the device.

If you previously had problems with gripping, or the paper wrinkled when printing, there could be pieces of it left somewhere. Over time, they get wet and interfere with the normal passage of sheets. Here you will have to disassemble the launcher and eliminate the interference.

Dear readers, we hope that you were able to solve the problem of the lack of printing. If not, be sure to ask questions in the comments, we will be happy to answer them.

It doesn’t matter at all what manufacturer your printer is from, what model it is, and what printing method it uses (laser or inkjet), the reasons for equipment failure can only be of two types: technical and software. By technical reasons The device cannot operate if there are problems in its various modules. For example, problems with connection, mechanics, electric drive, or with the cartridge, etc. If there are software glitches, then, as a rule, they are associated with the interaction of printing equipment with a computer.

At first glance, this sounds implausible, but when it turns out that there is no connection with the printer, it turns out that some owners of this equipment forget to do basic things. For example, connect the device to the network or connect it to a computer using a special cable.

But, when the connection is made correctly, and the machine still does not print, then first of all, you need to make sure that serviceability of the USB cable itself. Sometimes it fails, and a message may appear on the PC screen that the OS does not recognize the device.

In this case, you need to purchase a new cable, preferably high quality, having protection against interference.

Also, after connecting the device to the PC, it is necessary in the system itself select the desired printer, because Windows (versions 7, 8 and 10) may have multiple printing devices installed, and some of them are virtual.

Printer users often, through inattention or because of haste, do not pay attention to the choice of equipment at the moment when a document is sent for printing. In the picture above, you can see that the Samsung device installed in the OS was selected.

Default printer can be selected in another, alternative way:

  • log in to the “Control Panel”;
  • LMB (left mouse button) click on the line or icon called “Devices and Printers”;
  • a window will open displaying all the peripherals installed on the PC;
  • find the required unit and right-click on it (right mouse button);
  • A menu will appear where you need to select “Use as default”.

If the device does not work, you can try restart print manager. Making it restart is simple:

  • disconnect the cable connecting the printing device to the PC;
  • go to the “Control Panel” through the “Start” button on the PC screen;
  • further, follow the path: “System and Security”, “Administration”, “Services”;
  • In the “Services” window, find the line “Print Manager” and highlight it.

You can also click on the left top corner window to the “Stop” item, after which the “Run” item will appear, which you will also need to click on. Another option: right-click on “Print Manager” and select “Stop”, and then “Start”, or immediately select “Restart”.

Checking drivers

Driver problem - special programs that control equipment connected to the PC - may cause the device to stop working normally.

The driver problem occurs after:

  • reinstalling or updating the OS;
  • software failure of unknown cause;
  • virus attack;
  • connecting new peripherals to the PC that conflict with the connected printing equipment.

What to do in such a situation? First, you need to go to the “Control Panel” again, turn on the display of small icons and open the “Device Manager”. Next, while in this window, find the line related to your printing equipment. It may have different names. In the figure below, the line is called “Print Queue”.

You should also check on the dispatcher page to see if there is any equipment opposite a circle or triangle with an exclamation point. Thus, the system flags devices that have a driver problem. If you find an icon next to the name of a printer, you will need to install a driver for it. The driver is installed either from the disk that came with the device, or after downloading it from the Internet.

Typically, drivers can be found on the official website of the equipment manufacturer.

When no warning icon is found, but the device still does not turn on, it is still recommended to reinstall the driver. To do this, in the device manager, select the desired unit and at the top of this window, click on the screen image with a cross. This procedure will remove the hardware from the system.

After removing the device from the system, you will need to reinstall the drivers. This can be done, as already mentioned, either with installation disk, or run the downloaded file. Sometimes drivers do not have an installation startup file, and to install them, you need to click on the “Update hardware configuration” button in the manager window and find the line that appears with the equipment, opposite which there is an icon (!). Next, having selected it, click on the “Update driver” icon located at the top of the window and follow the instructions that appear. The system will prompt you to find drivers on the Internet or install them from your computer. Specify the folder into which you unpacked the drivers downloaded from the Internet. After installation, it is recommended to restart your PC.

Setting up a print queue

Very common cause The reason your printing device refuses to work is a failure that is directly related to the print queue. In this case, the system queues the document, but the unit does not start working. This can happen due to a power surge in the network or for software reasons if the device is used as a network device and is connected to several PCs. In this case, a special file created by the system when the user sends the file for printing is damaged. However, the equipment is often gives a printing error.

To fix the error you need to do the following.

After carrying out this simple procedure, the printing equipment, in most cases, returns to working condition. But, although rare, a situation arises where the print queue is not cleared and the print error continues to appear. In this case, you can resort to the following method:

  • disconnect the cables connecting the printing device and the PC and disconnect the unit from the network;
  • go to “Services” as indicated above and stop “Print Manager”;
  • next, open Windows Explorer, and paste C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS into the address bar, then press Enter;
  • in the folder that opens, delete the files in it;
  • turn off the PC;
  • Before connecting the printing device to the network, make sure that at least 60 seconds have passed. after unplugging it from the outlet;
  • Having connected the device cable to the PC, you should turn on the unit with the button intended for this;
  • After turning on the PC, wait until the operating system boots completely;
  • Now you can try sending the file for printing.

If this method also turned out to be ineffective, and the document could not be printed, it is recommended to use special programs that the equipment manufacturer offers for users of their equipment. For example, for HP printing devices, there is “HP Print and Scan Doctor” program, which can be downloaded for free from the official HP website.

Typically, these programs search for and correct problems with equipment automatically.

Checking ink and paper

When the machine refuses to print or comes out with blank sheets, it may be out of ink. Although the equipment self-diagnosis program successfully detects this fact and generates an alert with an error code, in some situations there may not be a warning, for example, if a CISS is used or the toner level count on the cartridge is frozen.

Determining the ink level in the inkjet

If you use original cartridges, then to find out at what stage the ink level of your inkjet printer is, you can use service program that comes with the printing equipment. Using the Epson device as an example, this is the “Status Monitor” program. To open this program, just find the printer icon located in the tray and double-click on it with LMB. Next, on the “Service” tab, select “Status Monitor”.

If you don't find the tray icon, you can find the hardware in Control Panel by going to Devices and Printers.

For HP devices You also need to double-click on the unit icon in the tray. Next:

  • you should select “Settings” and open the “Functions” window;
  • In the tab that appears, click on the “Printer Services” button;
  • After that, select the “Ink Level Information” tab.

For Canon units the actions are similar to those described for Epson devices, only in the “Service” tab you should select the line “Printer status”, after which a window will appear where data on the ink level will be displayed.

In the case of using CISS, the ink level in the containers is determined visually, since they are transparent.

Determining the amount of toner in a laser printer

If you need to determine the toner level in laser printer, where the chip is “frozen”, then this is also done visually: the unit prints poorly (the image or text on the pages becomes faded), white streaks appear, or a blank sheet comes out altogether. These signs indicate that the toner cartridge is running low.

If you are using original cartridge or self-zeroing When counting the amount of toner is possible, do the following:

  • press the “Print Screen”, “Print”, “Cancel” button (depending on the equipment manufacturer) and hold it for at least 5-7 seconds;
  • As a result, the machine will print a page with a report, where you should find the line “Toner Remaining”, which translates as “Toner Remains”.

It should be remembered that this information is inaccurate, and the error can reach up to 50% of the actual amount of powder.

Sometimes, if your device starts to issue bad quality When printing, the following method helps: take the cartridge and shake it, then insert it back into the laser printer. This method sometimes helps when, by all indications, the toner is running out, and the document urgently needs to be printed.

Checking the paper in the device

If the machine stops printing due to paper running out or jamming, a warning with an error code should appear. But sometimes this does not happen, so you will have to inspect the “insides” of the unit.

Paper jams often occur because the user uses to save money. used sheets, for example, printing information on back side. Such paper, in some cases, may be wrinkled, have kinks, etc. Therefore, it is not always possible to place it in an even stack in the paper tray. During operation of the device, when a sheet is grabbed, it can become skewed and crushed, which is why the equipment stops.

If you see that the paper has jammed, then you need to remove it carefully, without much effort or jerking. Users sometimes make this mistake, as a result of which they may remain in the device case. small scraps of paper, the location of which cannot be immediately determined. This may cause a crash. To find a piece of paper, you need to open the cover of the unit and remove the cartridge from it (if it is a laser printer), or, with the device turned off, move the carriage with cartridges (if you have inkjet printer). After finding scraps of paper, carefully remove them from the unit body. They are usually located on a shaft or rollers.

A printer is a device for printing digital data. Today, almost everyone has such a device at home. There are many different models available. They are divided both by printing principle (laser, inkjet, matrix) and by functionality (photo printing, support for various formats, pre-processing, double-sided printing).

No matter how modern your device is, everyone can encounter problems. Many of them can be solved independently without contacting support, especially if the error is of a software nature.

The printer gives an error

There are several causes of printer or printing related errors and they can be divided into two categories.

The first is software:

The second reason for errors is hardware errors that are related directly to the device itself, such as:

In fact, system messages from modern printer much more. But everything, one way or another, is related to refilling/replacing a cartridge or jammed paper, as well as overheating of the device.

Most problems with a non-working cartridge arise after refilling it, since many of them have protection from the manufacturer in the form of special counters and sensors.

Checking OS and device settings

If you are faced with the fact that the device does not display any messages on the screen, and nothing happens when you send a file for printing, then before contacting service center with the question: “What should I do? The printer has stopped printing, check the connection settings of the device, as well as the operating system.

To do this, the first step is to check whether the device is connected to the computer correctly and whether the operating system sees it.

To do this you should:

  • open the task manager and find the required device;
  • it must be in the list and match the name of your device;
  • opposite it there should be no indication of an erroneous connection, conflict or disconnection (yellow exclamation mark or red cross).

Now you need to check that the settings of the device itself are correct.

If printing does not start, there may be several problems:

To check this data, you need to go to the “Control Panel” and select “Devices and Printers”. Here you can change the default printing device (by right-clicking the menu and activating the corresponding checkbox). In the device properties, check whether the settings are correct.

If connecting to a network device is not possible, it is better to seek help from the user remote computer or network administrator.

Is the driver installed?

When connecting any device to your computer for the first time, you need to install drivers. In the case of printers, it is better to install not only the driver, but also the program for working with the device. The software is almost always supplied on disk with the device and also contains instructions in several languages.

Occasionally, in expensive models, the software is provided on a USB flash drive. To check whether the driver is installed correctly, you need to go to the “Device Manager” of the Windows operating system.

To do this you should:

  • left-click on “My Computer” on the desktop or “Computer” in the “Start” menu and call “Properties”;
  • Select “Manager...” in the menu on the left;
  • Check the list to see if your device is available.

The device must be in the “Printers and Scanners” category. Its name must match exactly or approximately the name of your device (if the driver is universal, or the hardware and software has not changed since the previous model).

For example, you have Canon model Pixma MP 280, may appear in task manager as Canon Pixma MP 200 or MP 2.

Video: Printer does not print

Print queue busy

If you are sure that the printer is working but not printing, you need to check whether the print queue is busy. Most modern devices with fully installed software They themselves display a similar error on the screen. However, this does not always happen.

In this case, you need to check the print queue yourself. This can be done by calling the driver program from the tray (the icon next to the clock). However, this method is not always suitable for those who use the device over a network.

Most often, users of large networks encounter the print queue problem when working with a shared printer. In this case, one task may consist of many parts. For example, if it is very large, the program itself could divide it in order not to overload internal memory devices.

Besides, corporate practice shows that very often there are cases when one task was not completed completely due to errors (the paper ran out or jammed, the printer overheated), and another was sent and another.

Depending on the model, the device may not pay attention to unfinished tasks and continue to work until its memory is completely clogged with such fragments. Or immediately not allow you to continue working.

There can be two ways out:

What to do if the printer does not print after refilling the cartridge

Users who have tried to refill the cartridge themselves, clean it, or soak it in a special solution, often encounter the following problem: the printer has stopped printing, what should I do now?

Refilling a cartridge is a complex operation containing many nuances that users do not take into account, so they then contact the service center with more serious problems.

The thing is that each device requires an individual approach when it comes to refueling. The first thing you need to do is find out whether the cartridge is equipped with special protections and chips, and read whether it has a page counter or another clever option from the manufacturers.

In addition, when refilling the cartridge yourself, it is very important to ensure that you do not “air” the ink supply system in the case of inkjet printers. And on laser device– do not stain, scratch the drum or knock down the spring that secures the gears.

In any case, if after refilling the printer works but does not print, you need to contact a professional, a workshop, so as not to completely damage it. Cartridge prices are sometimes half the cost of the entire device, so you should be very careful when refilling.

Sometimes there are cases of ink cartridges drying out. Therefore, after refilling, be sure to print a few pages to check. If this does not produce results, the cartridge requires soaking in a special solution.

Most problems with the printer arise from software errors, but they can be easily sorted out yourself without going to a computer repair shop. If errors cannot be resolved, you should contact a specialist.

When a cartridge needs to be refilled, you must carefully study all the information and strictly follow the instructions, and for printers with inkjet printing In general, it is better to install a special ink supply system. Thanks to this, most problems can be avoided.

Century information technology gives modern residents a variety of modernized devices, thanks to which it has become easier to perform the designated tasks. One of these devices is a printer that allows you to print important documents, photographs and other materials. However, sometimes it happens that the device refuses to work, as a result of which it is not possible to print an important document in any way. Of course, every user wants to know what’s wrong and why the printer doesn’t print.

In most cases, the failure can be resolved in a few minutes

There are several reasons why the printer does not print. Conventionally, they can be divided into software failure and technical reasons. Technical reasons include cases when the printer, due to current circumstances, is a priori unable to perform the tasks assigned to it.

No contact between PC and printer

No matter how trivial it may sound at first glance, it is very often not experienced users fall into the trap of asking to print material, but forgetting to connect the device itself. Without a connection to the power supply, looking for the reason why the printer does not print, although there is ink, is certainly not only stupid, but also useless.

Likewise, some users forget to connect the printing device to the computer using a special cable.

If all the indicated connections are established, the ready buttons are lit, but no action occurs, you should try to figure out why the printer does not print from the computer.

It happens that USB cable fails, then a message should appear in the lower right corner of the computer screen that USB device not identified. In specialized stores you can purchase a high-quality cable with additional noise immunity, thanks to which you can establish excellent contact between two devices and forget forever about the unfortunate problems when there is ink, but the device mercilessly refuses to print, although the user makes every effort to correct the technical failure.

Paper Feed Problems

In some cases, paper may be the problem. The most common reason is its absence in the tray, which is also indicated on the modern devices special indicator. By adding white sheets and clicking on the continue printing button, everything will work safely.

When the user, not understanding why the printer stopped printing, asked to print several times, he himself complicates the operation of the device in the future. Having already dealt with the paper, you have to perform additional manipulations related to canceling established tasks and clearing the queue of documents that previously needed to be printed.

In some cases, even if there is paper, the device refuses to work, indicating a sheet jam. The user should carefully inspect the tray on which the sheets are placed, as well as the roller where they go when printing starts. Often a small piece of paper gets in the way and acts as a serious obstacle.

If there is ink, the sheets are prepared and laid out on the tray, there is no jam, but the printer does not work, and the indicator indicates a problem with the paper, you will have to take the device to a service workshop, since a possible cause will be failure of the paper feeding mechanism or sensor.

Cartridge problem

A printer is a device whose operation is entirely dependent on cartridges. Therefore, it is quite simple to understand why the printer prints white sheets, just by first inspecting the cartridges.

If there is ink, but the device still produces white sheets of paper, although all contacts have been checked, then the problem may lie in low-quality ink. Sometimes users mistakenly refill ink that is not suitable, or the paint sold in specialized stores was not of very high quality, and therefore caused the printer to stop printing or produce only blank sheets, although there is ink in the cartridges.

If the printer stops printing, although the request from the computer is carried out correctly, the reason may lie in a malfunction of the cartridges themselves. However, the correctness of such conclusions can only be confirmed by a service center.

In this regard, if the printer has stopped printing without responding to requests coming from the computer, it means that there is some more serious reason that only qualified craftsmen can recognize. Therefore, the best option is to take it in for repair or maintenance.

Software reasons

If, upon inspection of the computer and printing device, no technical problems, you should suspect reasons related to incorrect installation of drivers and other software.

Reinstalling the driver

The absence or incorrect installation of a driver is also an explanation for the fact that the printer suddenly suddenly stopped printing, although the user is convinced that there is ink and nothing is preventing the task from being completed.

Reinstalling the driver is not difficult, so experienced users recommend performing such manipulations. To do this, the USB cable of the printing device is disconnected from the computer, the old drivers are removed, and then reconnected to the PC.
