The default color temperature of the screen was 7400K; using the warm option you can get a more optimal 7000K. The measured gamma is 2.3, which is close to the standard 2.2.

If you don’t want to plunge into these jungles, don’t, the standard JPG algorithm produces great picture and quality.

The standard software is convenient; in PRO mode the user’s hands are completely free. You can configure the exposure metering mode and its compensation, ISO level (up to 3200), shutter speed, focus mode and white balance (by Kelvin or presets). There are many special shooting modes available, of course, there is also the “Decoration” option, which the Chinese love so much. You can even turn it on in video mode. The latter also has a PRO mode with all that it implies; the camera shoots maximum at 1080p60, there is no 4K.

When using the camera for a long time, the smartphone body becomes noticeably hot. The screen brightness is usually sufficient. You can safely shoot at ISO 800; you can go higher, but contrast and details will be lost. We'll have to edit.

Much more important is how the devices feel in your hand. In my opinion, the P9 Plus feels much nicer in the palm due to the fact that the metal on top seems to be covered with a glossy layer. In other similar situations, I would say that such a coating is clearly useless, but I really like this model with such a surface: firstly, it’s metal, and secondly, it plays nicely in the light and resembles glass. At least something new.

Agree that there are a huge number of smartphones with a matte metal cover and a chrome rim, both among top gadgets and among super-cheap Chinese crafts.

Of course, it’s best to pick up the P9 and P9 Plus yourself and use them for at least a few minutes to understand which option is closer to you. However, I repeat once again, the impression of the P9 Plus is more pleasant, in my opinion.

The dimensions have become larger, which is no wonder - 152.3 x 75.3 x 6.98 mm, weight also - 162 grams. The increased size and weight did not adversely affect the ergonomics of the design.

At the moment in Russia P9 Plus is available only in gold color. I saw gray and dark gray options online. It is not yet known when they will go on sale. The power button (turn on the phone, activate the backlight) is ribbed and marked in red along the edge.

Huawei P9 Plus now has Press Touch function (in Meizu Pro 6 this is called 3D Press), which is an analogue of Apple's 3D Touch. When you press your finger on certain interface elements, the device detects the pressure applied. Depending on this, it displays various information. For example, if you press hard on the “Phone” icon, an additional menu will appear with a choice of your favorite contact. Moreover, you can make an item favorite by setting a star. The point is that if you press it hard again, the selected item will launch. Comfortable.

The feature is cool, but nothing more. It is unlikely that there will be a large number of programmers to develop applications specifically for this model.

Battery

This model uses a non-removable lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh. It seemed to me that the P9 Plus lasts a little longer than the P9, but not by much.

In my operating mode, the gadget functioned for a day and a half: an hour of calls, constant synchronization with Wi-Fi (every day from 9.00 to 01.00, Twitter, mail, Skype, WhatsApp), 4-6 hours of LTE. The screen glow in this mode is 4–4.5 hours.

The situation with games is a little worse: the battery runs out after 4-5 hours of continuous “battle”. The video device plays for up to 10 hours (HD).

I think it goes without saying that the P9 Plus is very fast and bug-free. The phone has no problems with games or other applications. When loaded, the metal case heats up a little (up to 41 degrees in toys and up to 36 during normal use), but does not turn into a stove.
