Of course, it also has a lot of shortcomings, and I would like to see a slot for a flash drive, a 3.5 mm headphone jack (it is not here, like the mentioned iPhone), and higher battery life. Then the device would easily be in the top three of our rating. But since “it’s the same as it is”, the device only gets an honorable fifth place in the selection.

For this money, A-brands only have the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) in glass, and in terms of capabilities it can compete with Xiaomi only from the Redmi series. Except that it has a good camera and is waterproof. In all other respects, this is a much simpler device, capable of competing in power only with the budget series. And most competitors simply don’t have stereo speakers.

Mi Max 2 also has a capacious 5300 mAh battery, which provides phenomenal autonomy for such a shovel. At the same time, its body is quite thin, only 7.5 mm. The smartphone was not offended by the camera either; it is based on the same 12-megapixel matrix as in the flagship Mi6, only the lens is slightly weaker. The 23 MP camera doesn’t shoot very well in the evening, but during the day it takes its toll due to the increased detail of the image.
